Facial Rejuvenation and Non-Surgical Options

When we talk about facial rejuvenation, most people think that it consists of one or more different surgical procedures. However, there are numerous facial rejuvenation treatments that we offer at Youthful Reflections that do not involve surgery.

At Youthful Reflections, there are various treatments for you to choose from.

1. Microneedling

This treatment helps reduce fine lines and wrinkles. All of our clients at Youthful Reflections who have undergone this treatment have told us that they believe microneedling works for them. This procedure offers great benefits.

Aside from reducing signs of aging, microneedling can also aid in the shrinking of pores. As an extra bonus, this procedure can help reduce oil production, which has plenty of benefits on its own. For people who are prone to breakouts, microneedling can help to prevent breakouts and blackheads, which are common during warmer days.

2. Exfoliation

Exfoliation with the right products can have results similar to a good facial. You do not need to go through a procedure to exfoliate your skin. Youthful Reflections carries many skincare lines that have great exfoliation properties. Stop in and we’ll be happy to discuss your options with you. Best of all, exfoliation can be performed in a variety of ways, such as using a facial scrub, chemical exfoliator, or device.

Be careful not to over-exfoliate, as it may do more damage than good to your skin. Exfoliating is best to keep to a minimum. For most people, exfoliating twice a week is enough. However, some people, especially those with sensitive skin, may only need to exfoliate once a week or even just twice a month.

3. Botox

Botox is one of the most popular non-surgical treatments today. Botox temporarily relaxes the facial muscles, smoothing out the whole face and reducing the look of wrinkles to help you look younger. Botox uses a neurotoxin, called Botulinum toxin A, which, when injected into the face, relaxes the muscles and keeps them still. Botox can even prevent wrinkles from reforming or getting deeper.

Botox is great for warmer days because it can also help with excessive sweating or hyperhidrosis. At the same time, this treatment can reduce the look of crow’s feet or wrinkles around your eyes and wrinkles on your forehead. Botox can also reduce glabella lines or the vertical lines that appear between your eyebrows.

If you suffer from eyelid twitching, Botox may be used as a treatment. Botox can also help people who suffer from migraines.

4. Facial Fillers

There are many different types of fillers that can be used to add volume to the face or fill in fine lines and wrinkles.  Here are a few:

• Juvéderm Voluma XC, which can be used for adding volume underneath the surface of the skin and increasing the size of the cheeks

• Juvéderm Volbella XC, which can be used to add volume to the lips or fill in fine wrinkles around the mouth

• Juvéderm Vollure XC, which can be used to fill in the nasolabial folds and marionette lines or for adding volume to the cheeks

Juvéderm products are FDA-approved treatments for the cheeks, nose, mouth, and lips. Juvéderm products consist of hyaluronic acid with variable degrees of crosslinking, depending on the product.  This natural substance is abundant in the body and has become one of the most popular ingredients in skincare products.

Hyaluronic acid adds volume and stimulates the production of collagen, which is responsible for making the skin look plump. As people grow older, both collagen and hyaluronic acid levels in the body significantly reduce. Therefore, the skin looks saggy and wrinkly. Hyaluronic acid fillers provide natural rejuvenation of these aging changes resulting in a more youthful appearance.

5. Kybella

The non-surgical injection treatment known as Kybella has been increasing in popularity, especially with people who want to reduce fullness and sagging under the chin, often referred to as the “double chin”. Droopy chins can be the result of growing older or can be due to weight gain. Sometimes even after you’ve lost weight, the area under chin holds onto the accumulated fat.

To reduce the amount of excess fat under the chin, you can get Kybella injections. The treatment does not take long –  usually only about 20 minutes. The star ingredient of this injectable treatment is deoxycholic acid, which is a bile acid that destroys fat cells.

According to clinical trials, this treatment offers one of the best solutions for reducing fat in the chin and neck area. In fact, more than 82% of people felt happy with their appearance after the procedure.
