Susan’s Story

At age 49, Susan was concerned about the progressive aging of her face and neck. For approximately 5 years, she had noticed gradually increasing laxity in the lower face and neck. This laxity caused a loss of definition of her neck and jawline due to sagging skin, formation of jowls, and deepening of the nasolabial folds and the marionette lines around her mouth.

Although she is naturally a very attractive woman, she felt that these changes made her look much older than her age. She noticed similar changes in older family members and wanted to do something to address these issues before they became too advanced, knowing that the aging changes would only worsen with time.

Susan had tried fillers for the nasolabial folds and marionette lines with only subtle temporary improvement in those areas. After consulting with Dr. Boggess and discussing her treatment options, she had a lower face and neck lift (Level 3 Reflection Lift) in combination with fat grafting to the midface and CO2 laser skin resurfacing.
